“Have to say, I think this is a
splendid book - long overdue. I am recommending it to many of my
patients as reinforcement for the strategies we teach in the practice.
Well done to the author!”

“I love the title. You have
done a good deal of work and are to be congratulated for writing such
a detailed book with such easy to read style. Patients (and continence
students) will be delighted to have it. I wish you every success with
the sales and think it’s a lovely idea that 10% is going to the
Fistula Clinic.”

You
did a great job writing this book which every woman should read. Your book
is easy to read and it is apparent the author has a profound knowledge
about the issues involved. ‘The Pelvic Flaw’ addresses problems children
and women all ages face, if they do not learn to care for their pelvic
floor. It also teaches them what they can do to improve, no matter how old
they are.
|
Athletic and Personal trainers
should read the book and increase their knowledge base about how to
prevent damage to the weak pelvic floor. Case examples help lay people
reading the book to understand the theories behind it. It is great that
the literature in the references supports and provides the evidence for
pelvic floor treatment. I wholeheartedly agree with everything you wrote
and I want to thank you for doing this book.

graphics. I will certainly recommend it to patients.’

I was most impressed with the
comprehensive approach, addressing pelvic floor function for every
woman whatever her age, parity or fitness. The presentation, including
information like “Ten rules”, means that useful advice is given even
with a quick glance through the pages. The diagrams are great and
including case studies assists women enormously knowing they are not
the only ones with this experience and to know improvement is
possible.

Thanks for
writing a book which looks at pelvic floor rehabilitation from a
musculo-skeletal and postural approach. I feel it is clearly
written for the average patient and will help people understand how
not to stress their pelvic floor when exercising. Bring on 'The
Pelvic Flaw' book written for the male, as I feel the postural and
exercise 'flaws' are common. |

There will always
be room for a well written and readable book for the lay public.
The pelvic floor is a secret to many and this book admirably explores
and exposes some of the myths. It also provides sound advice
about pelvic floor problems, how they have developed and how they
should be managed. I liked the layout of the book, the style and
the illustrations and I thought the sections on pelvic floor exercises
posture, breathing and tensioning of the pelvic floor were important
and relevant. It was a good idea to include useful websites.
Thank you for sending this commendable book with the eye-catching
title of 'My Pelvic Flaw'. |
